want more speed

Today, I've logined to alioth and created new mailing list.
It says
It will take 6-24 Hours for your list to be created.
...wow.

It is too slow than I expected. In these days, probably we(users) expect click and start "now". What it costs as bottleneck so much? hardware? spam?

    Hi Hideki,
    I created yesterday a mailing list in alioth and it was automatic. Either that message is obsolete or I was lucky to have an alioth admin seeing the notification and he approved it quickly!
