Debian docker image is smaller than Oracle Linux 7
From Oracle Developers Blog,
And, we're going to go Debian 9 "Stretch"
We've just introduced a new base Oracle Linux 7-slim Docker image that's a minuscule 114MB. Ok, so it's not quite as small as Alpine, but it's now the smallest base image of any of the major distributions. Check out the numbers in the graph to see just how small. It's not fair, Oracle. You talked about -slim image for Oracle Linux, then you should do for other distros, too.
$ sudo docker image lsDebian's jessie-slim image is 80MB, smaller than oraclelinux 7-slim image.
